Poste oggi le fondamenta del Giffoni-Dubai Festival. La cooperazione tra Dubai e Giffoni potrebbe partire gia’ nel 2007 con un evento speciale e, successivamente, realizzare nel 2008 una vera e propria partnership. Nel cuore della Media City si e’ svolto il primo incontro ufficiale tra Claudio Gubitosi, Managing Director del Giffoni Film Festival e i vertici dei due tra i piu’ importanti eventi culturali della regione: Abdulhamid Juma, Direttore del Festival del Cinema di Dubai e Saeed Al Naboodah, ideatore e direttore del Dubai Shopping Festival. Un primo contatto c’era gia’ stato nel corso della 36esima edizione del Giffoni Film Festival. Abdulhamid Juma ha accolto Gubitosi con grande simpatia ed amicizia esprimendo una positiva valutazione sulla storia e sulle potenzialita’ delle idee di Giffoni proposte dal Direttore e confermando altresi’ l’impegno che gli Emirati Arabi dedicheranno al mondo dei giovani che rappresentano il 60% della popolazione totale della regione. Prossimo appuntamento a febbraio, nel corso del quale sara’ definita nel suo complesso la partnership tra Giffoni e Dubai. Con Hollywood e l’Australia Dubai va a completare il triangolo di alleanze al fine di promuovere sempre di piu’ la formula, l’idea, la forza del Giffoni Film Festival.

“La Gang del bosco” prende subito la testa della classifica del box office italiano relegando al secondo posto Martin Scorsese con il suo “The Departed”. Ma il risultato del regista americano è comunque ottimo, considerando che il film ha la più alta media per sala (4.041 euro).
Tra i primi dieci film entrano anche “Babel” (solo sesto), “Fascisti su Marte” e “Prima amori, primi vizi, primi baci”.
Mentre a sorpresa sono già usciti dalla top ten “Fur” con la Kidman (15/m0), “N” di Virzì (11/mo) e “L’imbroglio-The Hoax” con Richard Gere (16/mo).
Complessivamente l’incasso al botteghino è calato del 5% rispetto alla settimana scorsa.
