Una «razza d’attore in via di estinzione, che purtroppo sta scomparendo in tutto il mondo»: così Mario Monicelli, che lo fece “esordire” in Italia nel 1975 con “Amici miei”, ricorda Noiret.
Monicelli ricorda di aver avuto con Noiret «rapporti non solo di lavoro: eravamo amici.
MONTALDO: «E’ UN MOMENTO DI DOLORE» – Giuliano Montaldo ha accolto con grande turbamento la notizia della morte di Philippe Noiret, con il quale girò “Gli occhiali d’oro”.
ORNELLA MUTI – «Non sapevo che Philippe stesse male, altrimenti sarei andata a trovarlo», dice invece Ornella Muti ricordando sempre Noiret, con cui ha girato «Il frullo del passero».
A colpire la Muti è stata anche «la capacità di Noiret di creare rapporti di amicizia fuori dal set: sono stata anche a casa sua, ci vedevamo a Parigi, nonostante la differenza d’età si confidava con me.
Ricco di un humour falstaffiano, il «provinciale» Noiret aveva una personalità molto complessa..

My trip was planned to go and meet Elijah Wood at Giffoni Film Festival

Then we had to catch a bus for Giffoni, which is a little town in a valley, half an hour from Salerno

A view of Giffoni I was glad that in the meanwhile I met Alessandra, a young journalist from Rome who stayed at the same hotel

In Giffoni, we collected our pass and went to the press office, to have the program for the day and to ask for a private interview with Elijah Wood

Sunday morning arrived and Alessandra and I caught the first bus to Giffoni

Mi e’ piaciuto molto sentire la voce romana del giornalista al quale avevano proibito di fare le foto.Era carina! August, 2006 GiffoniFilmFestival 2005 Agosto 2005 Giffoni film festival: un tuffo nelle emozioni Cinema: dove regna sovrana l’immaginazione

Quale luogo più adatto per accogliere 1500 ragazzi sognanti provenienti da oltre 20 Paesi diversi che portano con loro le proprie tradizioni, la propria cultura e le proprie emozioni? E sì, perché la protagonista indiscussa del 35° Giffoni film festival è stata proprio l’emozione

Il più importante festival internazionale dedicato al cinema per ragazzi, che ha aperto il sipario il 16 luglio   scorso per protrarsi lungo tutta la settimana, quest’anno si è dedicato a studiare e conoscere a fondo il motore della vita il cui carburante è proprio l’emozione.  Una settimana colma di eventi nella quale il piccolo comune di Giffoni Valle Piana, in provincia di Salerno, è stato colorato dalle magliette dei giurati (verdi per i piccoli “first screens”6-9 anni, gialle per i “kids”9-12 anni, blu per i “free to fly” 12-14 anni e rosse per i “y-gen” 15-19 anni) e ha visto un viavai di giovani, ma non solo, dalla cittadella del cinema

Trenta i lungometraggi e ventotto i cortometraggi in concorso, divisi per categorie, proiettati a rotazione nelle due sale cinematografiche di Giffoni

Poste oggi le fondamenta del Giffoni-Dubai Festival. La cooperazione tra Dubai e Giffoni potrebbe partire gia’ nel 2007 con un evento speciale e, successivamente, realizzare nel 2008 una vera e propria partnership. Nel cuore della Media City si e’ svolto il primo incontro ufficiale tra Claudio Gubitosi, Managing Director del Giffoni Film Festival e i vertici dei due tra i piu’ importanti eventi culturali della regione: Abdulhamid Juma, Direttore del Festival del Cinema di Dubai e Saeed Al Naboodah, ideatore e direttore del Dubai Shopping Festival. Un primo contatto c’era gia’ stato nel corso della 36esima edizione del Giffoni Film Festival. Sumner Redstone, chief honcho at Viacom, the parent company of Paramount, has ended the 14-year relationship with Cruise’s production company, Cruise/Wagner Productions

According to The Wall Street Journal, Redstone cited Cruise’s controversial conduct and behavior over the last year as the reason for the split

Redstone reportedly believed Cruise’s antics — including his now infamous appearances on ‘Oprah’ and ‘Today’ — had a negative impact on the bottom line for ‘Mission Impossible III.’ Redstone said, ‘As much as we like him personally, we thought it was wrong to renew his deal.’ Redstone told The Wall Street Journal: ‘His recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount.’ Cruise/Wagner produced a string of hits for Paramount, including ‘Top Gun, ‘ ‘Mission Impossible’ and ‘Days of Thunder.’ UPDATE : Paula Wagner, Cruise’s producing partner, responded angrily, claiming Redstone’s comments were ‘outrageous and disrespectful.’ Wagner noted that her collaboration with Cruise has accounted for 15% of Paramount’s theatrical revenues over the last decade

Cold, ruthless, unforgiving, calculating and deadly Pacinos is just absolutely mindblowing! The performance is a complete contrast to the quiet young war hero we initially met at the begining of the first film and it is evident by the end of Part 2 that Michael Corleone in a sense has killed himself.The film’s haunting final shot of a lonely, isolated paranoid Michael in his empty compound, is an unforgettable movie scene, a tragic portrait of a lonely and fully damned person, emotionally empty and finished, far from a waspish wife, more distant from a faithful lawyer…..this scene ranks as one of the most haunting scenes in Cinema and you cannot help but feel sorry for Michael Corleone(yet this is a chacter who kills his OWN family members)….thus the brilliant of THE GODFATHER 2 and the Tragedy of Michael Corleone! Robert De Niros performance too is astounding and after Brando this is the best performance I have seen in the series

De niros reunion acts like a lightening strike for the group as the group decides to get back to their old crime basics

(The manner in which De Niros jail release was shot echoes what the Late Mazhar Khan shot in GANG when Jackie Shroff is released from Jail)

De Niro now learns that the group is working for a bigtime Don named Frankie(Joe Pesci)

A prime example of this is the climax, which ends with De Niro smiling at the cameras its final shot
